Before you begin

- Ensure your device packaging is intact and the holographic seal (if present) is unbroken.

Step-by-step initialization

Connect your Trezor
Plug the device into your computer with the provided USB cable. Open trezor.io/start and follow the on-screen prompts.

Verify device authenticity
Confirm the fingerprint on the device screen matches the website and check for firmware authenticity when prompted.

Create or recover wallet
Choose to create a new wallet (recommended) or restore from an existing seed phrase if you have one.

Write down your recovery seed
Carefully copy the 12/24-word recovery seed onto the included recovery card. Keep it offline and stored safely.

Set a PIN
Choose a secure PIN for device access. Avoid obvious numbers and store it separately from your recovery seed.
